I was excited to read about Base Aircraft Technician job opening at CALSTAR.

I have 3 years experience in the same position with the tasks, duties and responsibilities focusing on:

• Responsible for the scheduling and execution of daily and periodic inspections on the aircraft as required by applicable A.A.I.P. the manufacturer of the aircraft, engine or appliance, or the FAA. Perform scheduled and nonscheduled inspections and / or repairs as needed on company aircraft.
• Responsible for monitoring inspections, T.B.O. items, S.L.L. items, and cycle limited items found on aircraft spreadsheets for his or hers assigned aircraft including any aircraft temporarily assigned to that base or individual technician.
• Coordinates all scheduled maintenance with the Director of Maintenance and performs scheduled maintenance at times where it will least affect aircraft availability requirements.
• Responsible for contacting the Director of Maintenance or Designee or Maintenance Administrator On Call any time the aircraft goes out of service for maintenance related issues and is responsible for notification once the aircraft is returned to service.
• Maintains close communication with the Director of Maintenance, Regional Director and Lead Pilot to provide current status of the aircraft and forecast any down time.
• Maintains all required aircraft maintenance records applicable to his /her aircraft and base.
• Responsible for identification of aircraft discrepancies and the determination if the discrepancy is or is not within acceptable limits as determined by the manufacturer or other data that is acceptable to the FAA.

In addition to my extensive experience, I have Knowledge and use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned maintenance tasks is mandatory, be able to meet physical requirements associated with and/or pass any medical. My broad background makes me an excellent candidate for Base Aircraft Technician position.
