Consumer Banking Teller McKinney Kroger
The Teller is primarily responsible for providing the highest form of client service by consistently identifying opportunities to generate referrals while performing routine teller transactions such as receipt, disbursement, and recording of monies while maintaining service standards and transaction responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Receives and processes checking and savings account deposits; provides customers with transaction records; provides customer with account balances; accepts loan payments, completed check orders and safe deposit payments; redeems U.S. Savings Bonds; validates items by entering through teller terminal.
Cashes checks and processes checking and savings account withdrawals within prescribed cash limits.
Greets customers and establishes a quality customer service environment; answers questions and suggests appropriate actions to meet the customer’s banking needs.
Identifies opportunities to refers bank products/services to new and existing customers by identifying problems, needs and opportunities; identifies customer’s needs and refers to the appropriate line of business.
Processes fee income entries for money orders, cashiers checks, traveler’s checks, check cashing, etc. to generate fee income for the branch.
Balances and reports teller transactions daily, in accordance with standard procedures.
Qualifications:
This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of high school and a minimum of 6 months cash handling experience, or equivalent combination of work experience/education which may include accounting, balancing, budgeting, bookkeeping, business management, or customer service.
Basic sales knowledge
Good math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Ability to count and make accurate change transactions
Good communication skills; ability to gain information from individuals/customers by asking appropriate questions
3-6 months PC experience; 10 key skills
Good customer service skills both in person and via telephone
Must pass teller assessment test
