USI is seeking an experienced Employee Benefits Client Communication Specialist to join our Employee Benefits Department in the Meriden, CT office.

Job Description including requirements:

The primary function of this position is to be responsible for supporting our benefit team, clients and carriers with legislative updates, coordinating seminars with our clients, etc. Performs duties with a high degree of independence, exercises good judgment and tact when answering inquiries or determining correct courses of action and communicating with management.

Regular Duties:
• Communicating legislative updates to internal team members and clients
• Internet research
• Coordinating seminars with our clients and vendors
• Communication with our marketplace partners
• Coordinating wellness fairs for our larger clients
• Building vendor relations
• Developing presentations
• Collecting and disseminating information effectively to all relevant parties

Minimum Education and Skills Required:
• Minimum 2 years experience in employee benefits
• Life and Health Insurance License (or willingness to become licensed)
• Knowledge of insurance and benefits industry.
• Effective and strong organizational skills.
• High degree of self-discipline and motivation.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate and empathize with clients.

Compensation commensurate with related industry experience.
