One role of the Capital Planning and Portfolio Management area is to provide an advanced level of engineering, planning, organizing, leadership and communication skills required to provide effective delivery of capital projects in support of the goals, mission and vision of the Engineering & Packaging Division and the Company.
The purpose of the Project Manager is to plan, organize, schedule and manage the implementation of the leadership approved capital projects in the MillerCoors way. This manager is required to apply project management and MillerCoors financial system expertise to the implementation of approved projects. This manager will report on the use of capital funds in excess of $200 M annually and lead the balancing of the portfolio to achieve Company financial targets. This manager is required to assist with the development project management capacity in the Company, with focus on their reports, the Project Engineers. The majority of the projects associated with this position are in the company’s 8 major breweries, as well as the Leinenkugel brewery and the various Pilot breweries.
Provides the project management expertise necessary to implement a variety of projects necessary to meet the goals and objectives of the company. This includes reviewing alternate delivery methodologies; recommend alternative courses of action, determine the resource requirements to successfully implement the approved solution within budget and schedule requirements.
Executes complex and possibly multi-plant projects.
Executes projects within budget while, at a minimum, meeting the scope and schedule.
Insures that the completed project meets the corporate quality and other applicable standards, and operational and functional requirements. Conducts Stage Gate 6 project
close out meetings as a process improvement vehicle.
Manages and maintains project documentation, both hard copy and electronic.
Manages, mentors and directs the efforts of consultants and contractors in completion of assigned projects. Provides both positive and negative feedback accordingly. Minimizes claim activity through rigorous management.
Actively and continuously solicits customer input, involvement and support in all project activities. Provides a high level of customer service and support.
Leads or participates in cross divisional project teams tasked with the development and/or implementation of various projects.
Leads the production start-ups of new projects to insure that they meet operational and functional requirements for the given project.
Manages the training programs for the operations personnel in the functionality, operation and maintenance of new systems and processes
Provide MSGlll/RCM asset care support within the equipment and construction packages for the process and utility equipment.
