At Quest Diagnostics Incorporated, we understand urgency. But more than speed, we focus our energies on accuracy. Currently we are seeking a Generalist of Human Resources.
As a Generalist of Human Resources, you will be responsible for maintaining and coordinating policies and programs for a specific client group covering the following: employment, employee relations, wage and salary administration, placement and staff member services. You will perform the daily activities as described below which will require a understanding of applicable state and federal regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruitment of open exempt and non-exempt positions including advertising, interviewing, pre-employment testing, offer, salary negotiation and orientation of new employees. Guidance with employee relations issues for specific client groups including counseling supervisors and non-supervisors; and, reviewing documentation to ensure consistency with our policies and procedures. Participate in employee survey process. Coordinate and review performance appraisals and associated recommendations for salary increases to assure adherence to budget, salary planning and compensation guidelines. Ability to facilitate training programs as required. Coordinate special projects as assigned.

Education
Bachelors Level Degree

Work Experience:
Must have 3-4 years demonstrated experience as an HR Generalist including sstaffing, EEO, Affirmative Action, employee relations, benefits and payroll support. Strong computer knowledge including PeopleSoft and Kronos. Strong Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet. Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all employees and at all levels in the organization. Ability to write, publish and coordinate communication materials.

Special Requirements:
Be able to travel to locations throughout the state and business unit. Be available to work as needed due to business needs. The ability to handle deadlines and multiple priorities in a fast paced organization is a must.
