Senior IT Security Specialist
A working knowledge of several of the following areas is required: understanding of business security practices and procedures; knowledge of current security tools available; hardware/software security implementation; different communication protocols; encryption techniques/tools; familiarity with commercial products, and current Internet/EC technology. Candidate will provide daily supervision and direction to staff.
Candidate must have a Bachelors Degree and 5 years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of academic experience and relevant work experience.
The Senior IT Security Specialist will oversee the efforts of security staff to design, develop, engineer and implement solutions to security requirements. The Senior Specialist will also be responsible for the implementation and development of the NSA IT security. The candidate will gather and organize technical information about an organization’s mission goals and needs, existing security products, and ongoing programs in the MLS arena. The candidate will perform risk analysis that also include risk assessment, provide support to plan, coordinate, and implement the organization’s information security. The candidate will also provide support for facilitating and helping agencies identify their current security infrastructure. The candidate will define future programs, design and implement security related to IT systems.
