SENIOR LAB AUTOMATION ARCHITECT Dallas Metroplex
This role is key to the retooling of Analog/TI in the area of characterization and lab automation, making this architectâ? Ts contributions visible at a very high level in the company. This is the ground floor of what will likely become a critical piece of our New Product Development strategy for the long-term, which makes this role very important.
This is a technical lead role with heavy and active involvement in the definition, development, deployment, maintenance and support of an enterprise-level automation infrastructure with the goal of worldwide TI fan out.
As a Senior Architect, you must be able to technically lead junior and senior developers and architects. The role requires heavy collaboration with a large number of business groups as well as central support groups such as IT, purchasing, desktop services, etc.
This architect must be able to work effectively with a very diverse set of internal customers. Heavy use of an offshore development model will be required, and this architect must be willing to delegate much of the core development to that team.
This role also requires the development and deployment of training and certification programs to ensure the business teams ramp up technically and are able to become as self sufficient as possible over a short period of time.
The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of very heavy, professional, quality LabVIEW development, 5+ years of heavy, professional, quality Teststand experience, 10+ years of experience developing lab automation infrastructure and enterprise-level solutions, and 10+ years experience integrating automated solutions in a lab and test environment. Experience directing, training and mentoring engineers in the area of lab automation using LabVIEW and Teststand is also needed.
This position requires periods of moderate to heavy national and international travel.
