This book is quite different from other career books, and that’s what I like about it. White teaches the reader how to focus on things that will work in your job search, and identifies things that don’t. She has some strong examples of time wasters & offers strategies that bring better results. Some of her writing is intended to jolt the reader into waking up and taking a more powerful stance in the job search…aligning oneself with the interview as an equal partner, insted of giving the interviewer all of the power in the process. I think the book would be a great wake-up call for new college grads and for those who are transitioning into a new career. White teaches both groups how to emphasize their strengths while standing out for the right reasons. Good pick!
