Nursing Supervisor in Park Ridge Illinois

Job Description:

This position exists to provide administrative and clinical support of patient care services staff, such as service recovery, seamless operation of the facility, and minimization of institutional risk. This position serves as the on-site hospital administrator on evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Accountabilities:

• Assess the dynamic clinical environment on each nursing unit during assigned shift, taking into account patient census and acuity.
• Plan, implement, evaluate and revise as necessary staffing throughout the nursing division on a shift-to-shift or hour-to-hour basis.
• Facilitate smooth operation of the institution during assigned work hours
• Identify and address a variety of staff concerns including strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities.
• Facilitate conflict management including questions about physician response, in a timely manner. Utilizes expert nursing knowledge and communication skills to collaborate with other disciplines in the best interest of the patient and the institution.

B.S. in nursing or related field
3 years recent acute care clinical experience
Functions at Benner s Competent Nurse Level
RN in Illinois
BLS/Safety
Hazmat Training
