I was excited to read about Radiology Nurse job opening at Concentra.

I’m a graduate of an approved school of nursing with Current RN license for states of practice. I have 3 years experience in the same position with duties and responsibilities focusing on:

• performing a wide variety of nursing skills to all radiology patients, by assisting the technologists and physicians in patient care during diagnostic and interventional radiology/cardiology studies,
• explaining procedures to patients and families of all age groups and cognitive levels to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation during the procedure and,
• preparing the facility in accordance with procedural requirements, calibrating equipment and preparing medicines and materials as required,
• cleaning and disinfecting equipment in accordance with sterile procedures and standards,
• preparing patients for radiographic procedures by educating, assisting, and communicating during the entire process of the procedure,
• determining appropriate methodology and techniques to use in administering medication and other nursing procedures, by adjusting the equipment to obtain a quality nursing experience in a safe environment and in a timely manner,
• completing all required documentation in accordance with the polices and procedures of the department and the hospital,
• maintaining stock supplies and assisting the hospital in cost containment of their resources,
• performing general administrative functions for the completion of the job task,
• ensuring proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies,
• promoting continuous improvement of workplace in relation to procedures, process, and safety practices,

In addition to my extensive experience, I have knowledge sterile and aseptic procedures, physical and operational characteristics of the patient monitoring and other clinical equipment, accreditation and certification requirement and standards, appropriate techniques and safety parameters, advance pharmacology, basic computer operations including Windows and preferred knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar programs. My broad background makes me an excellent candidate for Radiology Nurse position.
