For addressing a cover letter what do you do when the only name you are given is the office manager name?

Since there are multiple doctors that is acceptable. Usually if you cant get a name then a cover letter is a waste of time but for this instance it will work with the office managers name.

You could try to send it to the human resources depart

Attn: Human Resources Recruiter
or send the letter to at least 3 other doctors in the practice.

Attn: Dr. Spock
Dr. Doolittle

Reference in your letter that you spoke with John Doe or Jane Doe, Office Manager, that way he/she will not throw your letter away.

Attention to the office manager, human resources, and sometimes it is sent directly to the physician.
